About Kevin Hawkins For more

Seattle,
today Kevin is a Senior Loan Officer with Golf Savings Bank, based out
of
Golf’s sister company, Sterling Savings Bank’s
Bainbridge Island branch. He serves customers
throughout Washington

schools.
His wife is leader in local school volunteer efforts. Their home in
Commodore
West is well known for its annual Christmas lights display, having been
featured on local television and in local newspapers.
In 2004, Kevin was asked by the Mayor of Bainbridge Island
to serve on the City’s affordable housing task force, which
led to the creation
of new efforts to provide affordable housing solutions in his
community. Kevin
currently serves as a director on the Bainbridge Public Library Board

past board member of Bainbridge’s Housing Resources Board. He
has been a Little
League coach for three years, a Park’s League soccer coach

After having worked as a Director in Public Affairs at Fannie Mae's
headquarters in Washington DC for two years in the early 1990s, he returned to the Pacific
Northwest to open and run Fannie Mae’s affordable housing
office in Seattle.
The Seattle King County Board of Realtors honored him for his work with
the Realtor
community. Working with more than two-dozen Puget Sound area partners,
Kevin
was responsible for the $1.5 billion "HouseSeattle" program (created
under then Mayor Norm Rice). Prior to joining Golf Savings, Kevin was a
top
producer on Bainbridge with Wells Fargo, Countrywide and JPMorgan
Chase.
Prior to becoming a loan officer, Kevin was a corporate
Vice President at Great Western Bank, acquired by Washington Mutual and now CHASE,
where he
was one of the creators of the Bank's award-winning Realtor Program.
There he also
created the nation’s first "How to Shop for a Loan" and "How
to
Shop for Home" comprehensive guides for consumers, requested by more
than
three million households nationwide.
Kevin worked with the bank’s product management team,
created the nation’s first Realty Confidence Index, an
in-person survey of
leading Realtors, and was the creator and editor of the nation's
leading
newsletter for Realtors, Real Estate USA, read by more than a quarter
of a
million Realtors. He has had more than 50 major profiles of real estate
industry leaders published in magazines during the last decade.
During the 1990s on Bainbridge, Kevin with his wife Kyanne
and brother Jim, ran a highly successful small business, which provided
Internet resources to leading U.S. finance and real estate industry
firms.
An
honors graduate of
the University of Miami (Florida), Kevin completed his Master studies
at the
University of Southern California in 1985. He and his wife
were married
