Their home in Commodore West is well known for its annual Christmas lights display, having been featured on local television and in local newspapers.

In 2004, Kevin was asked by the Mayor of Bainbridge Island to serve on the City’s affordable housing task force, which led to the creation of new efforts to provide affordable housing solutions in his community. After having worked as a Director in Public Affairs at Fannie Mae's headquarters in Washington DC for two years in the early 1990s, he returned to the Pacific Northwest to open and run Fannie Mae’s affordable housing office in Seattle. The Seattle King County Board of Realtors honored him for his work with the Realtor community. Prior to joining Golf Savings, Kevin was a top producer on Bainbridge with Wells Fargo, Countrywide and JPMorgan Chase.

Prior to becoming a loan officer, Kevin was a corporate Vice President at Great Western Bank, acquired by Washington Mutual and now CHASE, where he was one of the creators of the Bank's award-winning Realtor Program. He has had more than 50 major profiles of real estate industry leaders published in magazines during the last decade. During the 1990s on Bainbridge, Kevin with his wife Kyanne and brother Jim, ran a highly successful small business, which provided Internet resources to leading U.S. finance and real estate industry firms.

An honors graduate of the University of Miami (Florida), Kevin completed his Master studies at the University of Southern California in 1985. He and his wife were married at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Seattle in 1993 and today are members of Bethany Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island.
